Sewing School!

Well...over the summer I finally had a chance to do something that I have wanted to do for a long time. I took a sewing class! I had a student at school about two years back who told me sewing was one of her big hobbies and that she took classes at this school in town. I finally called them up and I was so excited to find out they had adult classes once a week in the evenings. In July I learned how to make the tote bag and in August we worked on the pajama pants with pockets. My teacher is awesome! I have never once touched a sewing machine...but she made everything so easy. I will definitely take another class when my schedule permits.
Since my classes have been over I have made a few tote bags for gifts in various sizes, pillows, and pajama pants for Grant. Who knew sewing could be so fun???

I'll probably get in trouble here if I call you a nerd won't I? =)

Jackie's always been a good student.

You go girl!
Knitting/crocheting can also be
surprisingly easy & fun.
Now you need a little girl to sew for...?

Good job! I want to start getting into sewing a lot more as well. Maybe you should move up to the Dallas area so we can sew together! :)

Oh how fun! Someday I totally want to take a sewing class too! I have some minor knowledge of it, but it would be fun to actually KNOW how to sew. :)
Hey and I'm not sure if you were in the room when I mentioned the girls getting together this Saturday for chick night while the boys are at Priesthood session? Anyway, I'll give you a call.
